What is U-Report?U-Report is an anonymous messaging service that lets you and your friends speak out on issues that matter. Sign up through Facebook or Twitter and we'll send you a new question every week. What’s your opinion? Share it with us then watch live results to see what young people around the country are thinking on the U-Report UK website. Your voice matters!
U-Report is run by Unicef UK, the world’s largest children’s organisation.
It’s free, easy to use, and completely anonymous – so you can say what you really think. Anyone aged 13 or over can join U-Report.
Why would I want to join?Join a community of over 2 million U-Reporters in 22 countries around the world.
As we pilot U-Report in the UK, we want your help to shape and develop the questions we ask. During the pilot, questions will be sent to UK U-Reporters on a regular basis, covering topics from child rights to the refugee crisis. Over time, young people will also have the opportunity to suggest question topics, feedback on their experience as a U-Reporter and shape U-Report in the UK.The answers and information you give us will be used by Unicef UK to make sure your voice is heard by people who make decisions that affect you, from for example the Prime Minister to or local authorities.
How do I join?
What do I need to do to register? We will ask for a nickname, your age, gender and county. We will never ask for any personal or identifiable details such as your full name, date of birth, address or email address.
How does it work?We will send you a question every week on a range of topics from local to global. You respond via Facebook Messenger or Twitter DM and your answers are then collated and shown in live results on the website. U-Report is about gathering your views and using the data for positive change. Sadly we can't provide personalised responses to your messages. If at any time you feel you need support or advice, please visit our FAQs page for more information.
